It’s probably no surprise that I love fall. I feel like it’s almost everyone’s favorite season – and how can it not be?
The pretty leaves, the yummy pumpkin spice everything, the fashion, the boots, Halloween… What’s not to love?!
Don’t get me wrong, I love summer too. But fall is such a nice break from the heat. It’s also the time where I start working my butt off to get the rest of my yearly goals done.
But whether or not you love fall, here are 10 easy ways that you can embrace it!
1- Buy yourself a few new sweaters.
Who doesn’t love a cute sweater when it’s chilly outside? One way to embrace the fall weather is to go out and buy yourself some warm and cozy sweaters. While you’re at it, get yourself some hats and scarves too. Give your wardrobe a little refresh for fall! 😉
2- Go to a pumpkin patch.
What better way to embrace fall than by picking out some pumpkins from a pumpkin patch? It sounds like fun to me. Take home some pumpkins, carve them, and then bake the seeds. Pumpkin seeds are super yummy. You could also go apple picking!
3- Buy a fall-scented candle (or 7).
I admit it, I have an obsession with candles and fall scents are my favorites. It makes me happy to embrace fall by filling my home with fall scents. Between Sweater Weather, Autumn Wreath, Autumn Pear – plus apple, pumpkin, maple, and the other traditional fall scents – there are so many yummy scents to choose from. If you don’t like candles (why?!) you could also boil water on your stove and add cinnamon sticks, apple peels, orange peels, and cloves to make your home smell like fall.
4- Drink ALL THE DRINKS.
I don’t know why but fall just makes me want to drink all the fall drinks. Pumpkin spice lattes, apple cider, hot tea, hot chocolate. It’s also a great way to stay warm and cozy inside during fall. So treat yo’self to your favorite fall drinks!
5- Decorate your house.
I’m the type of person that decorates my house for, like, every holiday. But I love pretty fall decor and it’s a great way to embrace fall and bring it indoors. I wrote a post about inexpensive cozy fall decor items right here in case you need inspiration!
6- Enjoy the outdoors.
Fall is (in my opinion) the prettiest time of the year. It’s nice to just slow down and spend some time in nature. Go for a walk or a hike and just enjoy it. If you’re feeling creative, you could take some pretty photos too!
7- Do some fall baking.
Now that the weather is cooling down, it’s my favorite time to use the oven again! Make some pumpkin cookies or a classic apple pie or pear bread. You can embrace fall by using seasonal produce in your recipes. There are tons of great fall recipes on Pinterest.
8- Curl up with a good book.
Lighting my fall scented candle, grabbing one of my fall drinks, and curling up with a good book sounds like a great way to spend a lazy fall Sunday! If you need a good book suggestion, I wrote a post full of the books I’m most excited about this fall and winter that you can read right here!
9- Watch a scary movie.
I’m a bit of a horror movie lover and fall is the perfect time to watch scary movies. Grab some snacks, fall drinks, and blankets, and get cozy on the couch with your significant other or bestie to have a scary movie marathon. 10- Be thankful.
Now that the year is slowing down a little bit, it’s time for you to slow down too. Fall is the time of year to reflect and be thankful for what you have. It’s also the perfect time to start a gratitude jar.
