Phone apps are for more than just social media, games, and watching videos of cute baby animals. As you probably already know, there are apps for pretty much anything. Sometimes they’re great for hurting our productivity and keeping us distracted.
But there are also some really good apps out there that can help you be more productive, manage your time better, and stay focused.
I thought that I would share with you some of my favorite free productivity apps. These are mostly planners and to-do list type things. A lot of them can be used on computers via their website as well. Here we go!

Evernote seems to be a very popular app, and I can see why! It can help a lot with productivity! This app lets you create notes with pictures, attachments, chats (with other people), reminders, regular text, or even your own handwriting! You can create separate notebooks to organize your notes, clip articles and research from your browser, and so much more. This app is awesome, and you can upgrade your account to access more features. Go check it out!
todoist is such an awesome app! Like other apps, it lets you set daily and weekly to-do lists. You can view your profile to see how many tasks you’ve completed, and compare your daily total to your totals from the rest of the week. It also lets you break down your tasks into smaller ‘sub-tasks’ – which is neat! Another cool thing about this app is that you can collaborate with other people on certain tasks! You can also set filters on your tasks so you can view them by priority. You can do other things too, and upgrade your account status to do even more. Totally worth a look!
I really like any.do! It’s a lot like todoist. You can create a task and break it down into sub-tasks. You can set reminders for your tasks so the app will notify you when you need to do things. You can also create categories to organize your tasks, you can set notes for each task, and you can send your tasks to other people if you need to delegate work to them. It’s definitely useful!
4. Planner Plus
Planner Plus is another awesome app! One thing I love about it is its simplicity. It’s a daily and monthly planner. You can set daily tasks, projects, and events. It also has a calendar and a little note pad for any notes you want to add. It is pretty simple, but super helpful. There is a pro version that you can upgrade to for added features, though. If you’re wanting an app that is simple, this is the one for you!
24me claims to be like a virtual assistant in your phone, and it pretty much is! It has a calendar, to-do lists, and a note pad. You can connect your utilities, service providers, banks, and social networks. It saves you time by telling you what you need to do and keeping everything organized for you, which can help you be way more productive. It’s pretty awesome, if you ask me!
