If you’re a somewhat regular reader of my blog, you probably already know that I love books. Last summer, I wrote a post about “Buzz Books” that I couldn’t wait to read during fall and winter, and today I have another post like that!
I found more books to add to my never-ending “to read list” that I wanted to share with you. Forewarning: most of them are mysteries/thrillers because you know me. 😉
So, here are 9 books coming out this spring + summer that I can’t wait to read!
Fiction:
1. Our House
This book is about a woman named Fiona and her estranged husband, Bram. They want to maintain stability in their children’s lives so they decide to take turns staying in their house with the children instead of making the children go back and forth. One day, Fiona comes home to find that people are moving into their house, while Bram and her children are nowhere to be found. Fiona discovers how many lies Bram has been telling her and how little the couple actually knows each other.

2. Don’t Believe It
A woman, Grace Sebold, was arrested for murdering her boyfriend, Julian. But did she really do it? She contacts filmmaker Sidney Ryan to help her prove her innocence. Sidney starts researching the case and uncovers startling evidence, suspects, and issues that were overlooked during the initial investigation. She films a documentary series that prompts the public to demand that officials reopen the case. But as the documentary series nears its final episode, Sidney gets a letter saying that she’s got it horribly wrong – Grace is the killer. Grace is freed from prison as Sidney realizes that she might’ve helped free a ruthless killer and her life could be in danger.

3. Our Kind of Cruelty
This is a love story. Mike’s love story. Mike Hayes fought his way out of a brutal childhood before he met Verity Metcalf. V taught him about love, and in return, Mike has dedicated his life to making her happy. He’s sculpted himself into everything V has always wanted. He knows they’ll be blissfully happy together. It doesn’t matter that she hasn’t been returning his emails or phone calls. It doesn’t matter that she says she’s marrying Angus. It’s all just part of the secret game they used to play. If Mike watches V closely, he’ll see the signs. If he keeps track of her every move he’ll know just when to come to her rescue…

But now the baby is missing, the police are asking disturbing questions, and Winnie’s very private life is being scrutinized by the ravenous media. All of these books sound so good and most of them seem a little terrifying too. I love suspense novels, so I may order a few of them. Since the last one is nonfiction, I think it can be extremely beneficial to a lot of people.
