Okay. First. I had heard a lot of talk about Facebook groups and how beneficial they are to bloggers for a long time. But to be honest, I don’t like Facebook. A few years ago I loved it but I’ve just sort of gotten over it.
Having said that, Facebook groups for bloggers rock! I recently decided to give them a try, and now I love ’em. They’re basically my only reason for spending time on Facebook now, other than to contact long-distance friends and family, haha. 🙂
Why join Facebook groups?
There are actually quite a few reasons why you should give Facebook groups a try, if you haven’t already.
They can help you:
- Network with, build friendships with, and collaborate with fellow bloggers
- Promote your blog posts, products, services, and social media
- Give support to – and get support from – other bloggers
- Get help and feedback for your blog and products
- Share your wins and celebrate other bloggers’ wins
These groups are full of encouragement, support, and a sense of community. If you need help, advice, or opinions, they’re there for you. And when they need help, advice, or opinions, you’re there for them. There’s no jealousy or negativity – at least, most of the time.
My only regret is that I wish I would’ve jumped on this Facebook Group Train when I first started this blog! So today, I’d like to share with my fellow bloggers 7 of my favorite Facebook Groups for bloggers.*
* You might have to sign up before joining some of these groups so be sure to check the group rules on the FB pages first!
1. Blog + Biz BFFs
This group is hosted by Melyssa Griffin. This group is definitely one of the most active FB groups I’m in. It’s a community full of (you guessed it!) bloggers and business owners. It’s a great place to give and receive helpful feedback, advice, and support from fellow bloggers and business owners. It’s also a helpful place to find blogger collaborations.
2. Blogging Boost
This group is hosted by Elizabeth Bradley. I’ve learned a lot of new things from this group. It’s a great place to promote your blog, make new friends, and get (and give!) new ideas and feedback. It’s also full of encouragement for bloggers looking for help or support. There’s also an awesome Pinterest group board for this group.
3. Creative Superheroes
This group is hosted by Allison Marshall. This is another great group for sharing personal wins, getting feedback, and giving/getting support from fellow bloggers and business owners. It’s also a good group to use to find collaboration opportunities. The people in the group are so nice, helpful, and encouraging – it’s a great community!
4. The Peony Project
The Peony Project is a Christian female bloggers group and I love it. This group has a wonderful sense of community and support. The members are always encouraging each other, giving advice, and praying for the members who need it. And there are threads for getting to know each other, giving social media engagement, celebrating successes, and more!
5. Being Boss
Being Boss is an awesome podcast and an awesome FB group. It’s a wonderful resource for bloggers / small business owners. The members are wonderful, encouraging, and helpful. I love seeing all of the wonderful boss moments that are celebrated for the members. It’s definitely a motivating environment.
6. Bloggers Supporting Bloggers
This group is a really good Facebook group for social media / blog post engagement. There are always threads for Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, and recent blog posts. It’s a great way to get more engagement, and maybe make a few friends along the way!
7. Bright Bloggers + Business
Okay, this is a group I literally just joined like yesterday. But I can already tell that I love it because it’s hosted by Allison and Kristin, two of my favorite bloggers. 🙂 It already seems like a great community of people and a super positive environment.
