So my husband and I are coming up on our 1 year wedding anniversary (this June!) and I couldn’t be happier than I am with him.
I’ve been thinking about our wedding. It was small, inexpensive, and I loved it. It was pretty much just what we wanted – nothing fancy or huge.
I can almost guarantee that every bride has something that she would have done differently though – whether that something is big or small, or a thousand somethings.
(In fact, here’s a post from Cosmopolitan about 14 brides sharing what they would’ve done differently.)
One thing that I definitely would’ve done differently while planning my wedding is creating a wedding website. Here are 5 reasons why:
– It makes things easier on you.
A wedding website would make life so much easier for you. It will make planning the wedding easier, keeping in touch with the guests easier, and making sure everyone stays updated easier. If you can tell everyone about any changes at once, that’s much less stressful than trying to get in touch with everyone.
– It makes things easier on your guests.
A wedding website will also make things easier on your guests. Again, they can be updated on any changes by just checking the site. It also gives them all the information they need in one place – a link to your registry, the venue address, directions, etc. Creating a wedding website also allows them to be a bigger part of your wedding planning experience!
– It saves you money (and it saves trees).
As you know, we live in an increasingly digital age. And while I still love some of the old-fashioned paper ways, wedding websites can make your invite process much simpler. You can allow people to RSVP online, redirect the engagement party and shower guests to the website, and lower the pieces of paper you need to send out. Plus, it’s better for the environment!
– It makes changing plans much simpler.
If you think of something else to tell your guests, the location changes, or you have any other changes/updates, you can simply update the website. This makes things simpler and less stressful for everyone.
– It’s super easy to set up and personalize.
With GoDaddy’s GoCentral, you can create a wedding website in under an hour – without needing years of experience, or a full Saturday to devote to getting a site up and running. It’s seriously so simple to set up and get running. Anyone can do it!
GoCentral has all the things you need to set up your wedding website. It has a contact form to collect RSVPs, maps to help your guests find your wedding location, galleries to display photos, features to help you quickly reach guests, easy ways to share your registry info, your bridal party, and the big day itself. It can also be viewed on mobile!
I easily and quickly set up a sample site so you can just get an idea of what you can do with the site. You can view mine here: clicky. I also use GoDaddy as the host for this blog, so you know that they’re a great, reliable web host. And they have everything you need to personalize your site and create the wedding website you want!
