I know it’s probably no shock to you that *gasp* I think it’s super important to constantly be improving yourself. I mean, that’s the idea I had in mind when I started this blog.
Last year was a big year for me because I broke some negative habits (I still have some that I need to break, though!) and this year, I’m trying to focus on wellness. Mainly, improving my physical health and lowering my stress levels.
What better way to do these things than through a good workout, right?
So, today I thought I’d share some of my must-have workout essentials with y’all! 🙂
My K-Swiss X Lite shoes are super comfy for running! They’re squishy and lightweight and have great arch support, plus they were less than $100 so I love ’em. They’re also my favorite color! Having comfortable shoes is so important and my feet are super picky, haha!
– Headphones + phone
I definitely need headphones and my phone so I can listen to music while I work out. I don’t really like ear buds, but I can’t wear my big headphones while I’m working out, so I’m always trying different kinds of ear buds. These are working okay for now though! 😛
– Yoga mat
You know I love yoga, so of course I need a yoga mat. To be honest, I’m not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to yoga mats, but I can say that I’ve had no issues with mine, and I do recommend it!
– Lip balm, deodorant + body mist
Just some personal hygiene must-haves! I especially need Carmex during my cold morning runs because my lips get dry. Also, my signature scents are definitely Paris Hilton body mist and her Heiress perfume. They both smell great, last all day, and are super inexpensive!
– Water bottle
Obviously hydration is super important, especially if you’re working out. I have a few different bottles and cups that I like to keep handy for when I’m working out. I especially love my new Orbit gum bottle. I love the thought behind their new #ChewToABetterYou campaign. Which brings me to my next must-have item…
– Orbit gum
There are actually a few reasons why I love to keep Orbit gum handy. 1) Sugar-free gum provides oral care benefits. I know when my mouth feels clean and fresh, I feel more confident and ready to take on the world! 😉
2) The Spearmint, Peppermint, and Sweet Mint flavors give me a little burst of energy when I’m working out. (The gum also comes in Bubblemint, Strawberry, Citrus, Wintermint, and Orbit White flavors!)
Wrigley’s #ChewToABetterYou campaign is awesome too! It encourages us to incorporate sugar-free gum into our health + wellness routine to promote balance through mindful consumption. I know when I chew gum, it keeps me from mindless snacking. It also gives me a flavorful treat with only 5-10 calories per serving. This definitely keeps me on track with my health goals!
– Blender Bottle + protein shake
Okay, I don’t keep it IN my bag, but I definitely use it when I’m done working out. I love my Blender Bottle and yummy protein shake recipes. I also make smoothies without protein powder sometimes. Side note: I’d love to start sharing recipes on the blog and social media too if that’s something y’all would be interested in! 🙂
