The new year is quickly arriving and I’m so excited. I’ve been planning for 2019 and I can’t wait to see what’s to come and what I can achieve!
If you’re a regular reader of TIL, you should know by now that I love to plan. I believe that planning is the #1 key to achieving goals. Today I’m partnering with Unbound Planner to give you a look at the planner I’ll be using in 2019.
So here are some of my favorite features in the 2019 Unbound Planner, plus a chance for you to win your own. 🙂
Let’s just jump into it!
2019 Goal Planning Section
I really love that the Unbound Planner gives you such an in-depth goal planning section. It includes a self-reflection page to reflect on how you feel your life is currently going and what you can do to improve it. There are also several goal brainstorming pages and tips on how to brainstorm them effectively. There’s even a spread for your 2019 goals timeline and a page to list out your goals for the year and mark which months you’d like to work on/achieve them. It’s all really helpful and can come in handy throughout the year!
Project Plan / Goal Breakdown
I have quite a few big projects I want to tackle in 2019, like writing a book and renovating my home. I’ve said multiple times that I believe a huge part of achieving a goal is breaking it down and planning it out. The project planning pages in this planner are perfect for this! There are spaces to list out the sub tasks for each project and mark them off as you go. There’s also a space to list out any milestones for the project, and a space to write out any notes. And there are 12 of these project planning spreads, so you have one for each month of the year!
In most planners I’ve tried, the monthly spread is simply a calendar for the month. But I really love how the Unbound Planner includes more than that. It has a space to write out your focus each month, which I really want to start doing in 2019. It also has a checklist to write down your monthly goals and to-do’s, which will help me a lot. It also has a space to write down any gifts or occasions each month. And it has a space for monthly reflection. It has pretty much all you’ll need to stay organized for each month. I also plan on using it as an editorial calendar for TIL!
One of my favorite things about this planner that really sets it apart from other planners is the weekly overview pages. It really includes everything you need! There’s a space to list out your top priorities for the week, your weekly to-do list, and your weekly goals. I love the fact that they included these tasks in the ‘weekly goals’ section!
It also includes a daily habit tracker, which is amazing. And a blank space to use as you need to. It could come in handy to use to take notes from something, to write out things you need to remember, to journal about your week, to write down a shopping list, or anything you need. You could also use it for doodling or stickers, if that’s more your style!
As you’ve probably figured out by now, this planner was created in such a thoughtful way that it includes everything you can think of, and the weekly spread is no different! Each day includes a space to write down your top 3 priorities, your daily tasks, and a space to write down what you’re thankful for each day – which is awesome. It also includes an motivational quote, a space for weekly reflection, a space to write down things you don’t want to forget, and a blank section for notes. Everything you’ll need to stay organized each week!
Midyear + End of Year Reflection
Reflecting on how you’re doing is an important part of improving and staying on track. So it’s awesome that there are pages for reflection at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of this planner. It gives you questions that allow you to reflect on how you’re doing in the middle of the year and if you’re still on track with what you wrote out on the other pages at the beginning of the year.
There are also pages at the end of the planner that help you reflect on the full year of 2019 and how you feel you did with everything.
I also really love that there are blank lined pages and blank dotted pages at the back of the planner that you can use for whatever you need. You could use them for brain dumps, you could make an index to refer back to certain pages in the planner, or you could use them to write down thoughts that you don’t want to forget.
The Unbound Planner is so thorough in everything that it includes, but it’s also so flexible that you can use it for anything you need to. Overall, I honestly really love this planner. I loved it when I reviewed it last year and I feel like they somehow managed to just make it even better. Plus, I really love the new color options that you can choose from!
