I’ll admit that I’m by no means a makeup expert – even though I own a ton of makeup. Which might be why I can’t stomach the thought of spending a small fortune for a small tube of mascara. So it’s safe to say that I’ve bought a lot of cheap makeup in my lifetime. I’ve figured out which cheaper products work well for me and which ones don’t.
Lately, I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube makeup tutorials and learning more about makeup, which has led me to try out even more products. I do use a few more “high-end” products, but I also use some pretty cheap products from Target. While there are certain drugstore products I’ve come across that don’t work well and aren’t worth even buying, there are also quite a few cheaper products that I swear by.
Today I thought I’d share some inexpensive makeup products that I’ve been loving! The best affordable makeup that I swear by >> Click To Tweet
For a face primer, I’ve been using e.l.f. Hydrating Face Primer and it works great, especially for such a low price! e.lf. products are super inexpensive but most of them that I’ve tried work so well – although their products can be hit-or-miss. I also use this Eyelid Primer and I like it!
Another product from e.l.f., of course! I just recently tried this one for the first time, and it’s one of their best products, in my opinion. It’s the concealer & highlighter duo, but I don’t really use the highlighter. The concealer has such great coverage, though!
Okay so I have to be honest (of course). Like I said, e.l.f. products can be hit-or-miss, and I feel like this one is pretty much a miss. I’ve been using it recently because I want to use it up, but then I’m going to switch back to my regular foundation – which is Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation (love it!)
These are the first two products that I’ve tried from City Color and I can’t wait to try more! I’ve been using their Highlight Trio and I love it! I also just recently purchased their Contour Palette and I love it too! It works surprisingly well for just $7.
I sometimes switch back and forth between a few different eyeliners but these three are definitely my favorite. I really really love the Seraphine Liquid Coal eyeliner for my top lids – it’s like my favorite liquid eyeliner ever. Maybelline Define-A-Line is my favorite eyeliner for the bottom liner. I also really like Covergirl Perfect Point Plus!
Okay, so I’m CONSTANTLY switching between mascaras. I honestly usually just buy random ones because while I’ve definitely tried ones I’ve liked, I have yet to find the one I love (please leave a comment with any suggestions, haha). My favorite one is probably Maybelline Great Lash, but I’ve been using these two recently and I like them both. I have actually been using a mixture of them both – Ciate Wonderwand and Wet n Wild MegaVolume.
I’m kind of obsessed with lipstick, so this was hard for me. I have so many favorites, but these are my 5 favorites out of what I have right now. I’m just going to list these all below – they’re all great, I swear!
- Broadway Colors True Matte Lipstick (Okay, this one’s not great but it’s good for less than $2, haha)
- L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Matte Lipstick
- Bite Beauty Lip Crayon
- Nyx Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick
- Teeez Eve’s Ready To Wear Lipstick
As you can see, my Maybelline Fit Me! Blush is very well-loved, haha. I also just picked up this Pixi by Petra blush from Target and I’m loving it too. I had been dying to try their makeup and I’m not disappointed!
I’ll admit it, I’m pretty new to brow products and this is the third brow product I’ve tried. But L’Oreal Brow Stylist (Kabuki Blender) is my favorite so far. I also like this e.lf. eyebrow kit, but I definitely like the L’Oreal Brow Stylist better.
Again, I’ll admit it: this is the only setting spray I’ve tried! *gasp* But I do like it. It’s the L’Oreal Infallible Setting Spray. But if you have a suggestion that’s even better than this, I’m up for trying it! 😉
